PERTH PFD
Description
Type 3 PFDs, suitable for flat water and white water paddling. These PFDs have extra padding on the front, in order to flip the wearer onto their back, and they do not have any visible straps across the front of the body, decreasing the risk of becoming stuck on obstacles under the water.
Please select sizes based on the age and size of your participants.
Junior PFDs, generally speaking, will suit children 6-12 years old (22-40kg). Children in this age bracket who are heavier than 40kg will require standard sizing.
All other sizing will suit teenagers and adults.
Picture is a guide only, actual brand and appearance may differ. Our PFD's are regularly weight tested and checked for damage.
Please note that PFDs should be tightened until very snug, with a minimum 1cm of strap remaining after being fully tightened (shoulders, sides & waist). The wearer should not be able to lift the shoulder straps as high as their ears once fitted. Failing to fit a PFD properly can result in the PFD pushing the wearer under the water, and may result in drowning.
Please consult SU with any queries about appropriate PFD sizing and fitting.
